Fantastic views of the Churfirsten peaks characterise the winter hike to Seebenalp.

After the BergJet gondola valley station, cross the Kinderland and the ski slope. There, take the wide footpath that goes under the FLOOMZER. At the first fork in the forest, turn right and cross the ski slope again before the second fork. Take the path straight ahead in the direction of Seebenalp.

There is always something to see on the hiking route, animal tracks in the snow, pines covered in deep snow and sometimes completely snow-covered huts. Wide winter landscapes as far as the eye can see and suddenly you are at a point where Lake Walen, or even Lake Zurich, is at your feet.

When you arrive at Seebenalp, right next to the frozen lake, a cosy restaurant awaits hungry and thirsty guests. On the other side of the lake, the striking rock of the Leist steals the show from the Churfirsten for a brief moment.

Author’s recommendation

Enjoy the beautiful mountain landscape over a coffee in the Seebenalp restaurant.
