easy
Distance 21.1 km
Do you take on the challenge? 1.300 metres in altitude from Bad Ragaz up to the panorama terrace Pardiel at Pizol mountain - a fitness test with highest demands. After a well-deserved rest you can enjoy a downhill on forest paths through dense forests.
The Pizol Challenge is a legendary competition which takes place every summer. It consists of five disciplines. The present route is an original mountain bike route that starts in Bad Ragaz. On a small, averagely steep but well-driveable mountain road bikers will reach Pardiel. On their way they can enjoy magnificent views of Seeztal, Rhine valley, Liechtenstein and «Bündner Herrschaft».
The panorama terrace Pardiel is situated in Pizol, a popular hiking and skiing area. Once arrived, several mountain inns are well on your disposal to serve delicious food and drinks so that you can regain energy and enjoy a wonderful view. Prodkopf is a viewpoint close by, which provides an especially marvellous panorama view.
On an interesting forest trail, the descent leads down to Muttberg. The route continues via a forest path and goes back to the health resort Bad Ragaz. The alleviating thermal spa water of Tamina Therme is a source of relaxation after an eventful bike trip.
Note(s)
In Pardiel there are several alpine restaurants to rest and enjoy the view.
