Destination

Laufböden, Pizol

Turn-by-turn directions

From the Laufböden mountain station we hike along the lower part of the Pizol Panorama Mountain Trail. The route is well marked from the station. While hiking towards the Pizolhütte, we pass the Wangsersee after about 20 minutes. We hike past the lake and after another 10 minutes reach the Pizolhütte. The path leads back past the Wangsersee again. At the junction we continue straight ahead. The path leads us up to the Tagweidlichopf vantage point with the Grand Tour of Switzerland photo stele. From here we enjoy a wonderful panoramic view. We continue down again and across the high plateau back to the Laufböden station.

The route can also be done in the opposite direction. Thus, the hike starts and ends at the Pizolhütte, which can be reached by the Pizol cable cars from the valley station in Wangs.
